Analytics-Powered Interactive Virtual Classrooms Inaugurated in Tripura
Tripura marked a significant milestone in digital education with the inauguration of the Analytics-Powered Interactive Virtual Classrooms project on 21 August 2026. The initiative was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tripura, Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, bringing a new technology-enabled approach to education across the state.
240 Schools | ~40,000 Students | Live Two-Way Learning | Analytics-Powered Education
The project is being implemented across 240 remote Government schools, with approximately 40,000 students expected to benefit. It aims to bridge geographical barriers and provide students in remote areas with access to quality teaching and specialized academic support.
Through live, interactive virtual classrooms, students can participate in lessons delivered by teachers from a central teaching facility. The two-way learning environment enables students to interact with teachers, ask questions, respond to lessons and actively participate in classroom activities.
The initial academic focus includes Mathematics, Science and English, helping extend access to quality instruction to students who may otherwise have limited access to specialised teachers.
The analytics-powered component enables student participation, responses and assessment information to be captured and analysed. These insights can support continuous monitoring of learning progress and help educators identify areas requiring additional attention.
With 240 remote schools connected through a common digital learning ecosystem, the initiative represents an important step towards reducing the urban-rural education gap and making quality learning more accessible, interactive and data-driven.
The inauguration marks a new chapter in Tripura’s digital education journey, demonstrating how technology can connect classrooms, extend the reach of teachers and create greater learning opportunities for students across remote communities.
Connecting Classrooms. Empowering Teachers. Transforming Learning.
